Does anyone know where I can get a guard (or another solution) for the bottom of a primary case on a 2010 Fat Bob.
The bottom rear of the primary case is nearly worn through from cornering too hard.
I know that one of the answers is to not tip the bike over so far.
The other one is to use a foot peg that has an indicator post on it so you know when you are over too far.
I am hoping that someone has made or knows of a supplier that sells a guard for the primary case.
Thanks. Posted on behalf of RIDDS.
Have the same problem.........but a set of Fournales shocks set at the right pressure have solved the problem to some degree!
Yeah, I can still scrape it if I try hard enough......but I don't have a lot of meat left to play with. Just about up to the derby cover!!
you can weld a chunk of alloy over it......but your only gonna scrape that thru eventually!
I know you can't hang your arse off the seat like on a sports bike, when you got forward controls......but you can lean your body out to the side a fair way........ which will surprise you just how quick you can get around corners without scrapin it. Trust me......I've upset the odd sportsbike boy racer a few times!!!!!
I touch mine down on the odd dip or bump in the corner.......but don't "grind" it anymore.
Burto.
Not sure what he cure is but I do have a spare outer primary ready when you wear that one out.
