Deadwood, have you been up this way before?

I'll be up that way over Easter, flying up not riding, from up there before moving down fo Brissie a couple of years ago.

I've been living here for about 10 years now. Love the region, just not a big fan of the wet season. This year it feels like it rained for 4 months straight!

Townsville was bad enough this year. Seemed more like Cairns. Finally the dry has arrived! Did you go to the pre '85 bike show at Ellis beach last weekend? I wanted to go but the shovel had other ideas about a quiet weekend at home!

Yeah the pre '85 show was a great day out. No shortage of H-D's, Indian's, BSA's, Royal Enfield's, AJS's, and Triumphs. You wouldn't credit that this region had so many classic bikes in such fantastic condition. If ya all get the chance to go next year it is a good day out. After looking at the bikes in the morning you can continue on up to Port Douglas for coffee then stop back in at Ellis beach for a beer and watch the sunset.

i live over in the gulf but i,ll be in cairns all next week getting some work done on my bike

Yeh I would have thought that more people up here would be on these forums.  Maybe we'd better tell em that the internet has arrived!
