Howdy all,
After reading an old thread from Sprocket making his own solo bag, I thought I might tackle it too! Though I lack the skills that he has, but I do know someone I used to get custom leather stuff from (he primarily makes leather guitar straps, but he has made me a belt and an amp cover, plus wallets and all types of stuff for others).
So I want to ask you guys, what you'd add, or what you'd want your solo bag to do?
So far one idea I had is if instead of the bag strapping striaght to the frame, the bag has a 2nd "back" of sorts, which serves a mounting point. you could then add heavy duty zippers or clip studs so you could take the bag on and off quite easily from the bike. add a strap to the bag and you can take it with you in the office or pub or whatever. similar to how you can zip the inner lining out from a jacket on most bike jackets.
Since I'm a newbie and still waiting on my bike, Its hard for me to look at my bike and visualise it..so can any of you see an issue with that idea?
(mine's for an Iron, but the concept could work for any type I'd guess...)
