Fuel Consumption

Looking for some advice on fuel consumption.

I have a 2008 Cross Bone with a ThunderMax Auto Tuner, Installed. Stage 1 kit with Vance & Hines Short Shots. Bike is as brought apart from changing the oval air filter to an exposed element with a sock on it.
Over the past 5-6 weeks, I have monitored fuel consumption,
All readings are from a full tank.

    #          230 k’s  Light comes on          Freeway only

    #          245 k’s   Light comes on          Freeway only. Changed air cover

    #          256 k’s   Light comes on          City only

    #          230 k’s   Light comes on          City and Freeway

    #          250 k’s   Light comes on          City and Freeway

    #          230 k’s   Light comes on          City only

I have filled the tank three times when light come on and still had about 5 litres left in tank. (Roughly 19 litre tank, only need about 14 litres to fill)

I understand that riding condition will affect, like weather, head wind etc also loaded bags and how hard I am on the throttle etc.  However, it seems to me that the fuel consumption is high. My Dyna would get easy 300 odd before light comes on and I rode that a lot harder than the Bones. Could be because the Dyna was about 40 kilos lighter.

Curious about the figures. Are these about right or does it consume a lot of fuel.

Also does anyone know of someone that deals with Thundermax, would like to get the system checked. Bike Pops a lot on some days and some its ok also,  once in a while it will bang on upshift.

    Thanks for the replies.
    Cheers
    Fangio

    1.  Remove 40kgs from ya self.

    2.  Change the sock - it might be smelly .

    3.  Don't ride - fuel consumption excellent.
