Riding In Australia

    Hi,

I'm a newbie here and i'm not sure if this is the right platform for discussion on the ride planning matters. If not please direct me to the right one.

I'm planning to ride in Australia next year. Specifically, i'm planning to start the journey from Sidney to Melbourne than to Adelaide and back to Sidney. I'm planning to ride along the coastal road from Sidney to Adelaide and cross back to Sidney using the Hume Highway.

I've never been to Australia and hope this ride i'm planning will be the first. Hence, i would like to get some info for my better planning and understanding.

    My questios are:

    1. How many days i could cover for this ride? Sidney > Melbourne > Adelaide > Sidney

    2. Is there any shop i could rent a harley bike in Sidney?

    3. What is the best route to choose, better view, got historic and interesting places?

    4. Is it safe to camp along my ride instead of staying in the motel?

    5. What is the best month to ride? Not so cold (winter) or hot (summer)?

If you have others tips, i would be glad if you can share it with me. Thank you.

    Roi

Coast road mate everytime nov --- april ,, all good just some days might be hot occasionaly might be wet , and very occasionaly cold . sleeping on the side of the road , well suppose that depends on wether cheap caravan or hotel accomadation is to much , and where you are , remember we are a western country we don't put our nutcases and bad people away unless we can prove ther bad and nutcases . ... Lots do it but do you really want to be the statistic , example ,,,,, fellow here where we live , from what i can gather last friday night went for as beer, in a pub just a couple mile from me , he met up with some folk , and decided to go for a beer with them , after the pub .

Anyway i believe he never showed up home , shown up in a ditch instead , you guess it DEAD , and this is a nice area.

Selamat Malam Roi! :) )

    Ada Seahog photo lagi di:

You could ride with your colours but, right now it's a bad time as the cops are giving a very hard time to any "club" riders regardless of any crime they have not yet committed! You are usually not allowed to wear colours in pubs and clubs but you probably weren't going there anyway!! :))

Sampai jumpa lagi dan Selamat Jalan
