When you run the updater you will get all new manuals. The new manuals will explain how to use the new features, and you can now adjust for ANY camshaft so you can tune the woods 6 or any other one!

How to use the new features are covered in the Tuning Guide as well as in the help file with each software part.

I think that there are still many parameters in those cals that we can't put our hands on... those "hidden" maps could be the reason for the settings to be different between CAA and DMS...
Following the complete process would be as necessary as the vtune, I totally agree with Oz about that...

You may be right Streetdjack, but as it is a fairly involved process, may have to wait until time permits and just run with the estimated figures for a while.

I've had a better look at the available maps and I think another and possibly better map to start on with my build may be the DP I176.

This would take into account the "performance heads" that I am fitting.

The "slip fit mufflers" are the same as MS 176..........which my bike seemed to like over others!...........( I'm running 2-1s but after trying and vtuning various maps including maps for 2-1s, I found the slip fits best!)

The cams however are higher lift than the .550 of the MS 176, and higher again than the .510 lift Woods 6 that I run!...........(my bike seems to like the .550 lift map!)

The pistons in this map are also the hi-comp forged ones compared to my cast flat tops, however I will be running 10.2:1 comp so this may not be such a big difference.

Because of the fairly big difference in the cams..........maybe the Datamaster cam tune would be very beneficial!

Just throwing my thoughts around on all this, as I am by no means up to speed with much of the TTS system, but learning as I go!

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

The cam tuning can only be done on an engine. When we were developing the process we got about 30 various camshaft brought in here new out of the box. When testing them versus what the cam card said we found out that what is on the box was not always what was really there. Then the next issue was that once installed in an engine you had to worry about lifters, pushrods, valve spring pressure and on and on. So by doing the testing you can determine what you really have in your motor with your parts.

Did anybody else miss out on the graphics for the IVC Setting Graph Comparison on page 80 of the tuning guide?

Yes, your all missing the graphics on page 80, sorry. I will try and get that fixed up and a new one out but right now were in the middle of finishing all the other calibrations, so it will have to happen once this testing is completed and calibrations are released.

    Hi Steve,
Thanks for the program development and this latest update.

I want to get the closest MT8 file for my bike and in this case its the DTW205-03 and then drop in the IVO & IVC setting for my 211's through the camsaft estimator and then do some vtune runs on the road with this starting map. I dont have access to a dyno for the cam tune. Is it as simple as this to get a reasonable cam tuned map or do I really need to have the dyno cam tune done? You say the estimator will get us in the ballpark - does this mean 80 or 90% of the way there?
    Thanks
