    Hi

Looking at buying my first harley, at the moment i am looking at either a 2006 1200c $12000 with screaming eagle pipes and sissy bar 6500ks,  and a 2007 softail standard with V&H pipes, Hypercharger, $20000  17600ks,

Will be able to pay cash for the 1200c But will have to get a loan for the softail,

I weigh 90kilos so just wondering if the sporster will be to small for me 90% of the time it will only be me on the bike other times the missus will be with me around 65kilos,

Just wondering any thoughts from you guys,

    Thanks

Go the softie, sounds like a reasonable deal with the extra's and you and your lady will appreciate the extra room if you are doing day/o'nite rides.

If it's going to be an everyday ride , working in the city, get the sporty.

Brenton - like they have said go the the next open day and take them all for a ride and you will just fit into one, if it was me I would borrow the extra $$ and get the better ride, in 1 month down here in winter the price will go drop even more - look about then wave the $$ under someones nose, just remember the deal of a life time comes up once a month!!

Being a young bloke get a dyna because they can be a big sportster...

Go the dyna , you get the best of both worlds , throw it about easier than the sportstar and the comfort of the softy. plus you will get a newer bike for the same money

    Maaaaate!  Just ask your Missus.

If she picks the Sporty and you find later it hasn't got enough puff, THEN ya can upgrade to the softie without guilt coz it was HER fault. Same same if the softie is a drain on the finances - "Sweetheart, don't blame me... it was YOUR choice!"

Seriously though, I'd buy the bigger bike so you can tow her in comfort.
