Ride to work was a little bumpy this morning.
That'd tear ya undies.
It does look as though the top shock eyelet has bent as steamer says, in fact it almost looks like the upper case has bent as well. Might be trick photography.
I have an 07 FXDB and have not had a problem. Changed the original shocks out at 45,000. I can see how the eyelet was bent.... as the bolt loosened the shock would have been out of alignment and when this happens either the bolt or the eyelet would have to give and it would seem in this case it was the eyelet.
Be interested to know what the dealer response was.....
Hey Ho - what shocks did you go with? Taking her to the dealer this arvo - watch this space.
I went with the YSS... had fitted by Walter at the bike resides in Adelaide.
Think the type was RE302T based on what I paid ($500)
Cheers Ho - how have you found them? I've been thinking about upgrading for a while now - this could be a good time.
Cheers for the advice Steamer - doing it now.
I know we often shrug off small things like this, but when it's all said and done - it's bloody heart breaking. I don't make a heap of money, and I spend a large part of my time defending Harleys to my mates.
It's times like this - I wish I stuck with Jap bikes.
Fair cop Super - but you wouldn't expect the suspension to fall off a 3 year old Vespa.
Hey Mate,
Sydney - northside.
