Broke a belt on Sunday and was thinking of useing a S&S belt instead of a Harley belt anybody running one,belt lasted 60,000ks was well  cleaned and adjusted correct but you never know.

They might be made by the same company ???

I had an s& s belt on and had no worries for about 50,000 k's but then got a stone in it and still got a fair few more out of it. the split never got any bigger so I guess they must be at least as good as the original.from memory it was about $270 bucks which was a bit cheaper than the harley one.

One of my bikes has an S&S carbon belt it works.

my other bike has a chain that works too. only thing is if belt breaks i don't know how to fix on the road, but carry a link for the chain. but its bad news breaking eather. Belts the cleanest!
