I usually carry a laptop and some other work related things around. Not really interested in saddle bags etc. Want something that I can just throw on my back and carry with me. Do any of you guys carry a bag? Not sure I like the idea of a back back. I am just looking for some feedback on how practical a messenger bag is? (on a bike of course)

Input is appreciated - thanks guys.

The standard bitch bags we use wont fit a laptop safely , i think stay with a back pack if you carry a laptop

Yeah I do laptop and some other hardware in backpack..... No probs. Had a broken zip on it for the last 2 years, and even with that main zip broken wide open, there has been no chance of it fallin out.

Not sure if you have found one yet or not, however I used to use one of these when I commuted on a bike daily.

Fit the laptop in really well and safe as houses!

I'm surprised how comfortable a backpack is. Don't even know it's there.

Dead on Taffy. Then again I have always needed a backpack for work so probably used to it, whether car/ on foot/ pt/ whatever.... have probably used one everyday for the last 20 years. Skate ones all have spinal padding and a connector strap at the front which stops the main straps falling off your shoulders, and as a bonus - makes the weight more central (I sometimes have a shitload of electrcial equipment) and and stops wind flap on jacket!

Over the shoulder strap makes me think of choking if it ever gets hooked on something...... or handbags ha ha
