Yesterday I did an Advanced Rider Coarse with Team Moto at  Mt Cotton ( it was fantastic by the way). In the arvo they put us on the track , I had  the only big twin( '08 softail standard done 20,000 k) , an instructor had the XR1200 . As you could imagine there was a lot of back brake work and it all held together well, But on the way home a few roundabouts from my place I lost back brake preasure . When I got home brake fluid was pissing out where thebrake light switch joins the system.

Before I pull it apart  I would like to know if the switch is the seal or is there one before the switch and has anyone heard of this happening before. I could have been very dangerous I was just lucky this time.

                                                                                                                                                                 Thanks   Ductor

    Giday,

I've had a look in the bright of day and it's the resin seal around the plug terminals that has failed . Shit house I'd say.

It was at the front of the switch where the plug fits, not the threaded sect, nothing machanical would seal it
