Old school solo seats?

I'm looking to install one of these old school type seats on a '98 Springer (retro - not looking for original parts) but the only ones I can locate are the newer HD type - the ones in their latest parts book that sit ON the frame or real close to it. I'm after the 'tractor seat on a pole' type; as in the photos below:

Not just the seat but the whole mounting kit - any links or leads appreciated.

Thanks Blackey; unfortunately the web site isn't working but I'll give them a call.

Thanks for all the leads fellas; and Red, that seppo forum is huge! I've been on there recently searching 'solo seat' and 'Springer' but didn't come across those two links you added.

Not a real fan of the solo seats on offer in the latest HD catalogue - that pogo stick thing is what I'm after. Getting closer...

Yeah thanks Rodders... with regards to Walkas link that pogo is the closest to date but there's a zillion links out there and I'll be checking them all. Nothing is cheap on a Harley - and nothing looks worse than a cheap Harley. And I'm in NO f*ckin' hurry.

As my wise but dearly departed German mate Gunter used to say, "If you haven't the time to do it right the first time, when will you find the time to do it properly?".

Isaac, the seat would be somewhere between $200 to $300 depending if you wanted some carving on it. I do have some very stiff thick leather, and a battery cover would probably be about $100-$150
    cheers

Thanks for the prices leatheroo and the link, angry. FYI I tried copying the 'liberty custom' link into the browser and it linked to this site: exoticvinyl.com

I'm expecting it'll take at least two months for my bike to arrive so I've plenty of time to chase ideas.

yeah, thats Pattys other business, he reupholsters cars and choppers etc. as a matter of interest he did the seat on Robbie Knevels bike. he does a lot of work in the staters for the builders over there. he carries all types of weird arse leathers and vinyls, imitiation snake, croc etc. and hes a good bloke to deal with. and reasonably priced.

Thanks for the links RED, the issue is still very relevant for me. It's a major mod as far as I'm concerned so I've been looking, looking, looking for quite a while. Much appreciated, ta.

Hmmm, thanks for that. I'm pretty sure the US Police HD's have a similar seat too. And I remember Googling solo seats a while back and the 1926 seat comes up often as a much sought after model.

Seat & hardware is costly stuff which is another reason I wanna get it right.

Thanks for the offer Walka but the style isn't quite what I'm after. I'm chasing the real old tractor seat style with the turned up edge; the 40's era I think.

Thanks RED, this brings it all a little closer. I tried eBay and searched those parts numbers and 'pogo seats' etc but haven't located the Seller so far; I found a few used pogo bits, but not the items you mention.

    Can you advise?
