Does it actually go in neutral or does the light come on.If only the light comes on then it could be a faulty neutral switch.?

light works fine,its as if it gets stuck in between 3 gear and 4 gear when coming back down

Looks as though you'll have to strip the box and have a look in side.Everything else would be a guess.You can take the top off and look inside.keep us posted cheers.

take it to a dealer and get your shift adjustment checked

Sparrafatboy how's the gear box problem ???

not good,gearbox still neutralising inbetween gears.i have a 113 cube s&s motor in it,wondering if the extra hp may have caused the problem.

You'll have to open the box and take a look.The gearbox can take the horse power.If you shifted gears under load you could have bent the selector arm.

check your linkages arnt a bit stiff and stopping the gear box armfrom fully returning between shifts.
