    Hi Guys,

I need some advice, preferably from someone who has real world experance and already has done this.  I got a 07 softail standard and wish to rake the front hopefully 6 or 7 deg.  Any advice greatly appreciated as to what i need to do or modify, taking into account trail and not affecting handling too much. Even 5 deg  might be helpfull.

    Thanks in advance

I installed a set of 5deg raked triple trees with 2 inch over forks on my 07 softail recently, I purchaded them through rollies speed shop ( forum sponsor ) i used my original fork sliders... but polished them up to match all the other chrome
Had the shocks put together by BikeTek in Sth West Sydney.
    Installed the remainder my self.
5'deg is a very good rake, its not over the top and still handles well at low speed at parking or moving isnt too badly affected.
im having a little vibration at the 105 - 120 km/h mark but believe some raked bearing cups will fix that.

    You wont regret installing them.

Ill try post up a pic soon

    G'day 07 Harley
mate i just got my bike back from the workshop.
Installed 5 deg raked trees and 2 inch over forks.
I have exact same bike as you, so dont know why mine handles so bad now.
Its unstable at low speed wanting to pull to left and right and cornering is plain dangerous.
Its same setup as yours....so what tha??
