Trev... the Fat Bob comes with fwd controls... looking at the pipe configuration I doubt you can put mid controls on until you change the pipes. I have mid controls on my Street Bob and to be honest I didn't find much difference as I'm around 189cm. Knees were still up around my ears

Trev . Mine has fwd's and it get's around corners ok,pegs and heels are half worn-out though! Mate see if you can test ride both.I think mid mounts would be special order ? ,every FB ive seen in OZ has been fwds. Have been known to be wrong on the odd occasion though.cheers

G'day Trev, I am 5ft 9 ish and I have fwd controls and my leg has a bend in it when I ride, my ride is stock setup.  If it comes with fwds it would be a waste of money to get mids, my opinion only.

Trev, thrusrer is right when he say's only  forward controls availiable on the fat bob delivered to Australia. I am 5-8 and find mine extremley comforftable with forward controls , and I dont think it affects the handleing performance of the bike to much but it realy depends what you are used to riding. I have no problems scraping the pegs through the tight stuff , and half my boot heals are missing in action.

 Trev im 5 foot 8  tried the fat bob found the forward controls a bit too far away for me , was told it did'nt come with  mid , bought the street bob because of this and stook with the mid find i have more control  especially in the twisties , put highway pegs on for cruising best of both worlds

When I bought my Dyna I listened to peoples advice & stuck with mid mounts & put highway pegs on, I'm about 5'7 & found that I prefered to ride with my feet forward & they were always on the highway pegs so I put forward controls on & haven't looked back, love em.

Changed my FXDC to forwards and T Bars. Love the change, much more comfortable, but at 6'3" I'm a bit cramped on bikes with mid controlls.

having always had jap/sport position pegs previously.

But honestly Trev, am now about 3 months into it and I would'nt change em' for the world.
In fact I'd put em even further forward if I could!

Trev, I had forwards on my Fatboy and I'm 5'7" not a problem in handling and have ridden from Newcastle to the Gold Coast stopping only for fuel, 8hrs and arrived in great shape.
