Spark plugs

    Hi Guys

    Put my FLHTK in for 8000k  service this morning, they just rang me to say I need new Spark Plugs. Asked him why as they are only 11months old and the reason he gave "THEY ARE BLACK"  asked if they couldn't clean them and he said "oh alright we will just leave them". Is there a reason why plugs need to be replaced every year?

    No the manual says replace at 32000kms they should know that. go some where else next time mate sounds like they want to milk you.

    Don't mistake black plugs as worn out.Look at the electrode if it still has sharp edges then it's ok.With todays fuels and oils they should last 100,000 ks.Sure there cheapish,expensive if they don't need replacing.Don't forget they will charge you for fitting.$25 +.Just my opinion.

    What fuel do you run the bike on?
