Hi All, got a few questions about the TTS system. I have tried to research but access time to Internet limited.

1: Is it true that when my system arrives and I connect it to my bike that it will only then communicate with that bike and not be able to communicate with other bikes?.

2: After some reading it appears to me as if there are at least 2 ways to tune. 1 that you analyse and alter the many parameters yourself after recording realtime data while riding bike. The other talks about uploading maps that already exist (created by others I presume) that you down load from the net or copy from someone else. I know 1 of these is called V-Tune?? what is the other and which is which

3: Does the TTS come with any Maps internally or is it a case of getting Maps from other sources?

I appreciate any answers because as I say I have searched, and will continue when time allows but want some more answers prior to purchase.

Some questions about the latest TTS updates :-

Finally getting around to starting my VTune runs.
(2011 Road King, stock 103ci DBW, V&H Dresser Duals, Monster Ovals, SE Heavy Breather AC.)

I may be a bit pedantic, but I some questions on the new MasterTune Tuning Guide revision 1.30 (March 29 2011) if anyone can assist ..

1.       1. The new VTune flow chart 4.14 on page 72, – step  4A (Lambda) says “set all values that allow to 0.977”.
Yet on page 53, section 4.3.1 (and Fig 4-3) of the tuning procedure says to set to 0.981.
Which is correct, or does it matter as both are close loop.

2. Also, my Cal file DTQ044-03-A0.MT8 has extra MAP columns than that shown in Fig 4-3 page 53.

1.       3. Main Lambda, MAP 95 & 100 columns are set to 0.917 by the program during incrementing process, where as the Tuning Procedure Fig 4-3, page 54 shows 0.856.
Should I be setting to 0.856, in lieu of 0.917 ?
Does the “set all that allows” come into play here?

2.       4. The new flow chart on page 72, step 4C says to set all values in the AE table to zero.
Can’t find this instruction in the Tuning Procedure.

                                PS : TTS, bloody good product, gets my vote.

 

 

 

Just a quick question harking back to Gloved1's first post.

As stated, the Mastertune software will work with only 1 bike and 1 bike only (version specific). What happens if you ever sell your bike and get another? Will it work for the new one or do you have to pay for another licence or something?

Im currently running a fxdf with v/h fuel pak,kn filter and rush slip ons

Im using the latest map for this specific combo from vance and hines, bike run good but still poppin and crackling on decel.

so not a %100 happy with it.

not to say it was an absolute bitch to install you couldn't fit a packet of tally ho's under the seat now!

Im looking into TTS now, and i believe im after the thundermax EFI auto tune 309-360 model  is this the right one for the fxdf?

A few places on the net have the 309-360 model for a good price but its got C.A.R.D. compilant is this the california pollution model?

I thought the thundermax 50 was the pollution model

If anyone could give us some advice on the correct one for the fat bob that would be cool. thax

Do you guys purchase TTS direct from the States or do you purchase locally? Any dealers in Brisbane/Ipswich who sell and can offer advice on a TTS system?

Yeah my mistake im looken at the Tmax not TTS just herd the two used that much in the same sentence and not been real familiar with them.

Seems like they both have there positives and negetives ive read that much shit about the two in the last 48hr my heads gona blow.

Still not sure which one to pick Tmax bigger job to install but pick a close map then it fine tunes itself with auto tune done deal or go TTS plug in pick a map close to what your running then strap the lap top to the handle bars for vtune half hour ride.

Well im waiting on my SE HB ill install that next week and see how she runs with fuel pak  make my mind up then.

I am thinking about the TTS system now over the Thundermax, although I am no tuning/techo wizard. I am hoping the manual gives very detailed/helpful assistance.

I will admit I am not mechanically minded so excuse the "dumb" questions.

I have Rush slipons and nothing else. What filter/hypercharger would be the best without having to go down the cams path?

Bought a TTS tonight $430 to my door with usb cable from Rob's cycle supply in usa thats the best i could find.
