Hi guys Im new to this site and I have a problem im hoping someone can help me with. I am after the swingarm tension settings for a 1980 tourglide. All help would be greatly appreciated.

Ahhhh swing arm . Google it .. should be around 90 ft lb

actully I just thought about it .It can't be the same .eg, a spanner 10 inches long with a spring scale on the end lifting 90 ftlb will give less touque then if it was on the end of a 30 inch spanner. with the same amount of load

Thanks guys so much for all your help but after a lot of research I have found out that all I need to do is use some locktite and a cap and just tightened them up securely.

Yeh but whats the torque setting??? Tighten till it strips then back it off half a turn ? as someone quoted on this site !!
