Hi all,
My names Troy and im new to this forum and seeking some advice.
I copped a defect Friday night from the boys in blue (Adelaide) on my 09 Soft Tail Custom for "suspected" excessive noise. The officer also noted on the defect notice that my tail light was illegal.
Now, to the best of my knowledge, my tail light is infact 100% legal as it is a H-D parts tri bar LED part and a has the same "E11" stamped on it as the standard tail light that was on the bike when i bought it.
Because the kind officer defected me for noise, i now have to take the bike through Regency Park to be inspected and i want to be completely sure it will pass with this tail light fitted. Can anyone advise whether these units are actually ADR approved or should i reinstall the stock light to get it passed?
Kind regards
Troy
Hi Troy,
To the best of my knowledge the E mark means that it is okay, unless it has been modified since manufacture.

I got done at a breathe testing station in North Adelaide between the Hotel Adelaide and the Cathedral Hotel.
The cop was an arrogant dick who knew 3/5's.
The tail light is still as per the manufactures standards so im hoping it will pass, however ive got to track down a stock exhaust system to bolt back on to get the defect lifted.
Thanks for the welcome guys.
Yeah i know Blair he's a top bloke, might have to give him a call once ive got it booked into Regency.
well you know what you got do to get it past , dont much aroun with them pricks ,just change it and dont give them a chance to pick on it , then change it back later..
