FWIW I bought a complete "apehanger kit" for my softail from Hills Country Cycles in the States.... Came with internally wired 12" tall bars and all the cables to suit.
They were supposed to specialise in "complete apehanger kits" with everything you need to just bolt on gear with no guess work, but I wouldn't recommend them because they f@#ked me around. The wiring didn't come with the pins it needed to plug into the stock wiring connector blocks so I had to get them to send me them out 2 weeks later. Then I find out that they supplied 6" over cables that were way too long and just looked silly once I had them on the bike. I had to order a second set of cables 3" shorter at my own cost because they said that 6" over was what they recommended for 12" apes (bullshit)...
If I were to do it all over again I would buy my bars locally (Burleigh Bars) internally wire them myself just extending and soldering the stock wiring harness and custom order all cables myself after carefully mocking up the right length using a cut up electrical extension cord. Its a long process, but this way there will be no mistakes.
Good luck. Many people here on the forum have done this mod so you will get plenty of help once you start.

Had a similiar experience when I bought my '14' Ape Kit'. The bars were great, the brakeline, clutch and throttle cable were the right lenght, however the wiring was a few inches too short and had to be made up, which end up costing me much more than I had originally wanted to pay and defeated the point of buying the 'kit'.
All things aside, they're great to ride with, although I am currently considering moving down the road of the RSD Cafe Sportster look and getting clip-ons for a bit of fun!
