What ? Are you serious Chris of Rockingham , sym-pathetic commenter on that page , ya hope the utility driver is handling "this" alright !
I`d say he is handling "it" just a little better than say the VICTIM or his family is , right ?
Question must be asked as too "Why" wasn`t there enough room for him too pull up or take evasive action before makin an obvious speed hump of another presumably Innocent Road User and Motorcyclist fallen Victim of a collission with a roo ?
Yeah I hope he/she is ok allright , enough to ask themself the same question that will most likely haunt their consciounce till death , plenty of What If`s , as usual ....... ?
An unavoidable freak Accident causing death or serious injury too anyone , motorist or motorcyclist , involving an unprodictable roo is traggic and one thing , but too then be finished off by a cager , that obviously/or maybe not , have the capacity to think that IF a rider goes down in front of him and there is insufficient spacing , the likelyhood that he will make a speed hump of him , IS Blattantly Obvious and makes us motorcyclists somewhat know and relate too what the roo must of been feelin in knowing what was inament in that possible split second , which is all it takes !
Another Senseless but naturally occuring tragedy as it seems , and i`m not claiming to have been there or know the specifics , but i`m deffinately sure afer seeing it on a daily basis , cars riding the arses of motorcyclists or not leaving a practical space in which too avoid such occurances , the second part of the Accident was most likely , totally avoidable ! Yeah i hope the cager driver is alright and "Can" sleep well at night ?
    RIP Fella ! Skin

G`day All , yeah when ya been written off from behind with ya misses on the back and the dog fugs off leavin ya`s for dead on the side of the road unconscious and goin into cardiac arrest , i hate to see it and hear about similar shit and the sympathetic stance toward the cager , supose i should be greatful he punted us off too the left side as he 4 wheel drifted into us sideways , as if we did go the other way we too woulda gone under his van !
Who knows , there maybe other contributing circumstances involved with this reported crash , but still , i personaly do like to leave a bit of a gap , like a cars length or more between me and the vehicle in front whether im ridin or drivin for the usual avasive reasons , be it road kill , pot holes , the vehicles in fronts rear end or even a biker thats just hit the deck after colliding with a rougue roo and 9 times outa 10 someone will always try too fill it !
All know that if ya tail end someone your in the wrong , but then almost every second or third person does still risk it hey !
    Cheers , Skin

Yep was on that road that morning...had to turn around because of the road block...it was fairly dark at that time...my guess speed was a factor in the rider been run over in poor light and looking like road kill...no pun intended,,,condolences to the riders family
    Ride in peace rider

G`day Snake83 , sorry too hear mate , though in case ya didn`t see , i just may have mentioned "Who Knows" , (meaning as I wasn`t there) , there coulda been "other contributing factors" , meaning anything at all , as there usually IS many factors that contribute or could help in avoiding the situation totally from both points of view , sorta like , wrong place , wrong time ! It`s deffinately a daily occurance though seeing riders hit by cars , just gotta read this site or other articles to see that mate and although it happens snake , it`s deffinately a lot more common than a rider hittin a dog , roo , deer , pot-hole or whatever !
Never been too WA and being in sydney won`t be gettin off me arse to go there anytime soon to check out the site , like ya say , or try too find out the actual facts of what`s obviously not a good scene and Another Road Fatality Statistic , as we see way too many crosses on the roadsides over here as it is , and yep deffinately may not know fugg all about it , "bar what was written in the posted article" that i commented on , and even though it was early in the morning , sure that some sorta lights woulda been on , though fog hard too see through in any case hey , but then obviously i wasn`t there mate and like ya say , don`t know the "facts" or the speeds , the road , if it was wet or how good the lights , tyres an brakes are or not , what the rider was wearin or if fog wa an issue , but when ya been taken out and driven through by a followin vehicle that was sittin on ya date like ya shouldn`t have even been there , near killin you and ya misses , before fuggin off , ya tend too question these things , even if it ain`t quite the same situation ?
Ya bit about , same as askin why the rider didn`t see the roo , i`m sure ya would know the answer too that yaself mate , they`re totally unprodictable don`t ya think and 9 times outa ten run one way , only too turn and run straight back into ya path , is a lottery if theres any more than one , an don`t often , unless already been smashed , lay on the road waitin to be hit again hey ,,,, Not rantin and ravin , just commenting on an "press article" mate from my own unfortunate personal experience and unqualified opinion , which everyones entitled too , and sorry to hear that it`s affected ya personally as it`s never a good thing hey , for anyone !
