With the site constantly growing in usage and performance and reliability gowing down I've decided to make a couple of behind the scene changes:

1) The site will be upgraded to the latest version of the CMS software which should resolve the issues with random errors on the site that some users are getting.  It should also fix the issues with the chat module.

2) The site will be moved to a dedicated server rather than a shared hosting server which is currently resides on.  This should increase performance.

The upgrade will occur over the next few days and the server upgrade in a  couple of weeks.
