In SA Mark Hood is the guy, I know that Bullet Cly Heads in Holden Hill CNC Ports all of Marks Heads and they make Great Torque and HP. But to be Honest you dont need to go to that extrem with a 1200 Sportster, My 06 makes alitte over 100 with the Right Pipes , Air Cleaner, Jetting and a SE 7000 Module.. Running V&H Short Shots you will never be in the Race
Thanks for the info and contact Mark.
What a nice bike the 48.
A 1200 goes real good these days. You need to know how much money you want to spend then go to Hoody and tell him how much you got and he will tell you how much you get.
You need to be real and start with what you want to spend or you will waste time looking for the answer that is already there. If you are using a pro super tune take it to Neville Lush. There is no better to get you Harley running to the best it can be.If you have a fuel pac cheap system throw it in the rubbish and buy a system that re writes the factory computer. There is no better.
If you want the best 1200 sportster take the engine out and send it to Hoody .Pay the money.Get it back.Send to Neville to run in on the dyno and tune.
I have my own shop and send my machine work and heads to Hoody because I gaurantee my work.

Hi guys,
I have a XR1200X with Vanes and Hines 2-1-2 widow pipes and a SE tuner. I would like a little more performance and was wondering what my options are? I have read about the monster 1450 kits from the US but they require a fair bit of machining of the cases etc. the bike is only 12 months old and has only done 1100kms. It isnt my bike for long rides or for real performance as I have a BMW K1300R for that but I love to get a little more out of my bikes....
Any ideas?
