    Hi all,

just after some feedback on the fitment of a set of aftermarket pipes and a hypercharger onto a stock 2008 FLSTN. Is there a need for altering or changing the fuel injection system?. I do not have access to a close by dealer and would like to know the ins and outs prior to fitting.

    Tks

Well .yes you should change the setting of the injectors,If you don't no what to do,read the old threads in the workshop, your gonna need a race tuner or something similar to access the chip, not cheap but worth it.

ok well that is the sort of info i am looking for. If I need something i am willing to buy it, just want to understand why I am buying it. I have done some searching and found a lot of in depth talk about tuning TTS? from the Doc etc but it was little too much to soon for me. Will check out the workshop and see what I can dig up. Would still appreciate good info tho.

    Tks

G`day Gloved1 , there should be a mile of info on the subject here abouts , though there are a few on the market including some constant adjusting ones and it`s well worth doing ya homework , i went the SEPST @ $750 by memory , Screemin Eagle Pro Super Tuner and although the older SE one used to come with CD tuning software allowing ya to personally set and adjust the air fuel parametres and monitor data runs through ya laptop , the sepst doesn`t come with the CD and needs too be tuned by ya dealer or someone with the software , if ya just changing slip on style mufflers @ $500 and up , ya can get by without one , but changing ya air intake @ $250 or making any other major changes , you will deffinately need to have the Air / Fuel ratio adjusted too suit and allows for dyno-tuning to dial the parametres in for best performance ! Hmmm, thanks for the direction guy's. After some reading it appears as if the way to go would be to get my hands on a TTS Mastertune unit and download the appropriate map for pipes and A/C upgrade. Sounds simple enough?, might ask around the local Harley fraternity and see if someone has a unit, and if not looks like i will have to buy one.

    Thanks

definately sounds like my best option robo61. Just curious mate, do they come with some maps installed already?, or is it a case of having to download maps from another source to your laptop or memory stick etc.

So yeah, I can see how the Sopranos and all the other dvd collection info applies to GLoved1's queries on TTS etc.
    Bloody advertising.
