Just put my 97" kit in as well last weekend. I had one pushrod touching the tube cover and could see it moving. I have the adjustable ones as well but found the 2 1/2 turns was too much. I ended up adjusting the lock nut so it just touched the bottom of the rod and moved it out 0.100 thou and locked them up. I don't think I allowed enough time for the bleed down on the first one. Ended up pulling the head off and all was fine. I put the rod in a lathe and straightend it. The are suprisingly soft.
