Pre 1970 the frames had no numbers, 57 is the last year of the rigid, post a pic as there are different rigid frames,  have you checked out the numbers on the engine to see if they are legit, if it is a genuine HD rigid frame you should have no problems regoing it,

    G'day BillyBob,
As houli said pre 70 there are no frame numbers.
If the frame is original it would be one of the elusive 55-57.
These are recognised by the front downtubes being straight leg rather than the previous wishbone type.
If your motor numbers are legit you should have no probs.
    Cheers,
    Cris.

Here's the bad news. You will need a surrogate number issued. In Qld, the police will issue one when the Qld Transport have ok'd it and the only way you can get that done is to have the frame certified by a Harley dealer that the frame is indeed an original harley frame. If the frame has been cut or raked in any way, you will have a problem. I built my bobber in 12 months but it took another 6 months to get it rego'd. PM me if you want further info. cheers
