HI there, im new to the harley world and have never had a bike with forward controls. Do all harleys come from the factory with forward controls or do you have to add them extra? Any help appreciated
Hi Vetman, depends on what model ya lookin at, some come with em, some without.
Most that don't come with em standard can be fitted up later and visa-versa.
Used bike, ya get what ya see,
New machine, check the specs.
Thanks to rider and others for their help. I googled 'do all harleys have foward controls' but didnt get a good answer and when i google pics of harleys i get confused as to what are actually forward controls and what are are stock controls. As i said im only very new to harley, just bought my first one basically.

Vetman, there are a few Dyna and Sportster models that have mid mounts although there does seem to be less year on year. The thing to remember is that it is possible to change mids to forward very easily. Going forward to mid is also possible on some models (I did it on my FatBob) but is more involved.

you cant get mid mount on softails only floor boards like fatboy.If you have forward controls on a dyna it will cost a lot more to fit mid controls, than it would to change to forward controls.So if you dont know what you want get mid mount and highway pegs.Then you can easly change later at little cost about $900 to forward controls. my2 c
ok, so softails only come with forward controls. Why do people look at my bike and presume i put forward controls on then ? lol
