the stealers say no hd headquarters say no but your paint job is under warranty for two years
Every product sold in Oz has a 12 month warranty. They cannot void it or cancel it for one part like chrome. Check here for more info on your rights http://www.accc.gov.au http://www.accc.gov.au/content/index.phtml/itemId/654676
a good breakdown on what your rights are and more links to relevent govt sites here http://www.dtvforum.info/index.php?showtopic=42782
yes it is! any chrome defect caused by manufacturing is covered.Cant think why they wouldn't cover it.What part has the problem ?
Warranty is warranty, period. Got my primary replaced under waranty when the chrome had a slight flawin it. No questions asked dealer just ordered one in for me. Then again it depends on the dealer at the end of the day, there are good ones and more bad than good ones. We have a great dealer in our area.
ring HD Aus and keep asking for the manager and blast them...shoulld be covered if it wasn't your fault...
Wow, just found this whole thread on my warranty / widespread corrosion issue.
Lol
Greenies have had sway. Regulations don't allow for the right mix of metals/chemicals to chrome parts properly that lasts.
Damn new bikes (every brand) - EVO chrome still looks fantastic at 24 years old and with very little love showed. Come to think of it - so does the inch thick paint.
HD's the problem here. Seems there is widespread agreement their late model chrome work is dodgy. Fair Trading QLD agrees my rust/ corrosion within 6 months is warranty. My dealer told Fair Trading no deal. The answers HD provided to me / Fair Trading are word for word what they said to our NZ mate and is current affairs program in the video.
