Hi all, just bought a standard 08 FLSTN and am looking at pipes. Is it as straight forward as buying and fitting, or are there other considerationseg air cleaner upgrade etc. Was also looking at a hypercharger at the same time. Advice would be appreciated.

Also I am looking for some highway pegs that I saw on another bike, they were just like an oversized moustache as opposed to crash style bar. I have been looking but have yet to locate them. Any advice would be appreciated

Thanks for that. I think I have decided on a set of Rinehart Cross Backs Chrome Flush with Black tips. Also ordered the Pro R Hypercharger. Shopped around last night and found best price with shipping seems to be MandM.

    Hi Gloved1

I have the type of highway bar I think you speak of. They are kuryaykyn moutstache bar. Think there are 2 types, adjustable and not. I have the adjustable ones, and bought pegs to suit.

    see link below

    http://www.kuryakyn.com/Products/565/Adjustable-Mustache-Bar

I was going to get them from M&M Cycles in the states, but a fellow forum member (Walka, based at VPW in Epping, Vic) did me a good deal. send him a pm.

I find them good to use, but a bit fiddly to fit and get squared up but not too bad. Only thing to be aware of is clearance bewtween heal and rear brake lever, and clearance from guard for when cornering if hit a bump.

Hi mate , have a 06 FI and run an open a/c and touring pipes. Was running Rush but found them loud and loss power
Went back to the H-D pipes and the bike has all the power back

    rowie,

I purchased the very same or very similar along with the pipes and Cleaner, just not sure mine has as must bend length??.

Kieth, at this stage I have a shed full of parts ready to go on my new bike. The bike itself is on a ship somewhere between America and Australia. I expect the bike in a about 6-9 weeks as once it lands it has to get cleared and then complied and then it will be mine so want have the factory pipes until then.
