    Hi Kev,

My XL1200C is averaging just under 5L per 100km. Based on a 17 litre tank it gives a range of over 300km. In real terms the fuel light comes on around 230km and I can get 300km easy. Mind you the last 30 KM or so she will cut out on right hand corners as the fuel surges in the tank. Unfortunatley they don't have a swirl pot in the tank to stop this.

Got 240km before the light came on at the weekend on my XL1200C. Windy roads and a couple of 100km sections, so a good range of riding conditions

    Hey steamer

Got the bike back (again) on saturday. Its been off the road for most of the year with the recurring electricsl problems, so in the end the dealer told HD Aus come sort it out cos we're stumped. HD Aus eventually told them to replace the relays which they did and all seems to be okay at the moment. I'm gonna give it another week or so to see how things go before I post an update to the old thread as I notice the  Engine Check lamp comes on again for a few seconds after I start the bike. Might be nothing, but with the history to date I suspect everything

The 48's really suck hey, didn't realise it was that bad.........................read a few of the reviews when they were released, but f@#k that is rough!! Great looking bike though

I'm not too sure, reckon I would be in the 150km's somewhere (I guess)?  I have a two inch tank lift kit on the bike and the light always comes on earlier than expected, always get fuel round the 150 mark.  I haven't pushed it any furher than that @ this stage.

keep in mind the 48 has a smaller tank than the rest, i also think that putting in a SE tuner and having it tuned correctly will make the milage better...
