same deal a h d rep coming up to darwin to inspect but no dates as yet
Spokes look great but they are way too much work to keep clean, at least my Fatboy Lo has easy wheels to keep clean but they are a shit looking wheel. Don't know why they don't put some decent looking wheels on the Fatboys.
My partner has spoke wheels on her 2008 Sportster which she has had from new, not a rust mark on the front or back wheels :-)
Hope all works out well for you and Harley replaces their dodgey product, no good when you pay top dollar for a motorcyce.
The prob with spoke pitting, apparently, has a lot to do with the OEM brake pads, the material in them is corrosive and sticks to the rim and spokes and consequently corrodes the chrome.
I changed to Lyndall pads a few years ago and don't have any chrome pitting probs, and as a bonus I get better brake performance as well...

Hi I manage a tyre/mechinical business and had a bloke in yesterday with the same prob, he had his rim replace under warranty by his dealer so it may be worth asking or emailing Harley to see. I know with alot of our suppliers that if they get direct customer complaints they are more likely to fix the prob.
Cheers
