I sent the guy a message and the following is the reply I got - looks like a scam:

The bike is still for sale and the asking price is $12.900, it is registered on my name and it has 7,800 kms. I'm a pilot on cargo flights, and I away from home most of the time, so the bike was barely driven. I am selling cheaper than the rest as you can see because I need cash fast, as I need to pay for my wife's liver transplant, so please no loans or payments plans offers. Because I'm away most of the time I will not be able to deal in person, but I've already arranged the shipping and the title transfer anywhere in the Australia. I will pay the shipping fees. If you are still interested please email me back so I can explain how we can do this without me being present.

SCAM...

Whirlpool.net.au has a lot of these scams listed on them. It is amazing that some people still fall for them. A big one atm is the use of Paypal. You would think it was safe but they hijack a Paypal account pay you the money get the goods and do a runner. Then Paypal reverses the payment, you loose the goods and the money. A lot are still trying the 3rd party pickup as well. because they are on a ship in the ocean and want to buy/sell the bike for their parent etc. If it looks to good to be true then it is a scam.

It's a scammers world out there

Scam, indeed. I've seen many of these. A recent rash claimed to be selling the bike from a military base in Montana and they would pay shipping. That is ALWAYS a scam, no exceptions. I offered to pick it up, since I was traveling and would be able to be there in person or I could have the base provost arrange transfer, as a precaution for both of us. Never heard back on any of the three ads once I told them I could be there in person to pick it up. If you want a test, use that.
