Oil light.

    Howdy,

Got a possible problem with my Streetbob.

When it has been parked up for a while and I start it, sometimes the oil light stays on longer than it should. Like 4 or 5 seconds.

It never comes on when riding, and yes the oil level is fine. I'm using Mobil 1 V2, and a K&N oil filter.

Is this a sign of impending doom, or just one of those quirky Harley things?

The light used to go out as soon as the engine fired, just recently started doing this. I'm guessing maybe it's the pressure switch, I tried pulling the wire off and cleaning it up, but made no difference.

    What do you guys think?

Mate I don't think its anything to worry about.Takes a bit of time to build up pressure. If you put a pressure gauge on it  you'll be amazed by the variation of pressure on different days.

OK, cheers. Might pull the switch out tomorrow and give it a clean.

Probably the easiest fix is to ride it more..

That makes it harder.  If I can help you out by riding it for you, let me know.  I promise I will only ride it around the block.
