Latest prognosis:
Sunday Fine. Min 3 Max 18
weather not bad here... am cultivating one hell of a cold myself so lets see how far and where we go
have fun down south guys
Well it seems I've cultivated the cold a little more and find breathing somewhat difficult at the moment
not too bad a day for a run and we even got to smell some roses... slow start because Hamburger Hill was closed so we headed down to a servo for top up and coffee.... good to catch up with Crasher and sorry you had to bolt at Roe.
Headed across to Kalamunda and then up to Toodyay for lunch, across to Bindoon (no need to stop as BillyWizz was not with us) then across to the coast north of Yanchep and down to Joondalup and home via Freo. Hit a breath test roadblock at a roundabout just before Hillarys.... pulling over most vehicles at every entry... the young female on our entry waved us all through. Just as well because I probably would have passed out if I had to blow in the tube . Then had a bit of a tango with Bobtail at start of Karrinyup Road.
Hope the ride home was not too cold Bobtail....
Thanks for the ride guys.....
Thanks for the ride and good company.
Weather was good although a tad cold, must rug up a bit more next time.
Now we need Crasher to post some picks.
Howdy all, got home OK albeit in the dark. That was a good rose smelling ride with a few bursts in between. No cops were seen but a car or two did flash thier headlights, more in anger about our passing menouvers I suspect
The ride along the coast was one hellofa pain with roundabouts every couple of hundred meters, in the end I didn't know where was what and when it came to turn off to the Westcoast Hwy I kept going straight ahead into a bloody car park, in the process HO near cleaned me up. That must have looked like a close quarter stunt ride, cigarett paper stuff. Sorry HO
The intersting bit for me was on the way home after leaving HO and Pigiron at Coogee. Stopped at the Naval Base servo to top up and ring the missus as the sun was setting real quick. After the call I got myself together and attempted to start the bike, the alarm went of and no start. Tried a couple of times more and the same thing, alarm and no start. So I stepped of the bike in a huff, and gues what, the stand was up The bike did a slow but purposefull controlled drop, picked it up and did a little war dance. Not a scratch or dent on the bike. All this did not solve the start and alarm thingy until I thougt about the fact that I had just rung the missus, no probs before that so I checked the phone and sure enough it was still active, I switched the phone off and lo&behold the bike started with no alarm protest. So it would appear that the phone infuences the fob thingy, bugger of a way to find that out.
Daz, I couldn't stay at home knowing that you guys were going to do the SW so decided to lend my support to the Perth crowd.
Thanks for a good ride fellas
Bt
no problems Bobtail.... just lucky you were quick on the throttle and my reaction with brakes was spot on... thank god for Lyndall pads
sorry to hear about your little incident at the servo.... glad it was not serious
Was a great day guys, thanks uncle ho for the tour through to Toodyay, was a nice lunch with a good bunch of blokes, thanks Pigiron Bob for the guided trip back via Gin Gin to the OV Tavern, the fire was sensational and was good meeting up with the rest of you boys, many more rides to come
PS: Uncle Ho I was behind you when you nearly cleaned up a 28, went straight over your helmet, dont know whether you saw it or not but it was fuggin close and doing a 1.40 would've turned it into a big pile of feathers, have a look on the back of your jacket there's probably parrot crap coz I reckon the bird done a do do there
