Ducati's answer to the VROD -

    http://www.diavel.ducati.com/jsp/en/index/index.jsp

I have no words for how ugly this thing is, but apparently goes like a scalded cat! I don't see HD losing traditional customers to it but for those sitting on the fence it might just sway them.

There's a write up in the latest AMCN about it for those interested.

If t hey are giving out samples I'll definitely take one. And why wouldn't you after a description like this:

With lateral radiators adding muscle to its broad “shoulders,” which then taper down across the engine and into the belly-fairing with oil cooler, the athlete took shape.

    Crikey!

If you live in sydney, there was 1 on display at Frasers at Strathfield...not too bad in the flesh.

Its not Harley and doesn't give me the freedom feeling, IMHO

Not my sort of thing, although i used to ride 'em. Just thought it was interesting they where taking on the "power cruiser" market (as they put it) I don't really think its a serious threat to the vrod. Time will tell....

Hmmm, for disclosure purposes I must admit to liking Ducatis... BUT! I don't like this one. Howl me down if ya must but what is the definition of a 'Cruiser'? Coz that Duke looks to me like a sports bike on steroids. What's 'cruisey' about that? Nup, not for me.

Have to see one in the flesh, but really....I used to ride a Duke. Great sports bike, but a cruiser? I don't think so. I reckon that Ducati have lost the plot in the last few years.

More of a competitor in the Power Cruiser market targeting the M109 & Vmax more than any Harley I think.

The Ducatonista will love it but I cant see it selling anywhere but Europe in any great numbers.
