I was reading my Heavy Duty today and saw the ad for new Harley Davidson Dealer coming to South Brisbane. I think i read somewhere there was talk of this a couple of months back. Does anyone know if it's a new player or is it just another Morgan and Wacker dealship.

Story has been around for a few months. Canadian dealer apparently setting up in Springwood, not sure of location at this point but could be where the Mitusbishi dealer used to be.
I've no probs with 'Heavy Duty'; that's where I bought my bike. But they specialise in selling late model, low km Harleys whereas the topic as I understand it refers to a 'Dealer'. Are we talking Dealer as in 'New' from the factory HD approved Harley Dealer or just another re-seller?
Factory Dealer.
There was an advert in the Courier Mail on Wednesday for positions at Gasoline Alley Harley Davidson.
Also drove past Springwood on the M1 and noticed a banner up at the old Springwwod Marina premises(3445 Pacific Highway, Springwood, Qld) advertising new Harley Dealership.

Before long, visitors to Gasoline Alley Harley-Davidson on the southern outskirts of Red Deer could be able to view activity at the Gasoline Alley Harley-Davidson in southern Brisbane, Australia.
At least that’s the goal of Grant Price, who owns the successful Central Alberta dealership and is now licensed to open another down under.
He plans to fly to Australia next month and begin working on the sister-business to his Red Deer County shop.
“I’m hoping to be open for business by next April,” he said, speculating that he’ll spend the better part of a year opening the new outlet — finding a building, performing renovations, hiring staff and looking after the many other tasks associated with starting a new Harley-Davidson outlet.
“Gasoline Alley is going to be the name in Brisbane as well,” he said.
Ultimately, Price hopes to arrange for a video connection between the two dealerships so the goings-on in each can be monitored from the other location.
Gasoline Alley Harley-Davidson first opened in 1990 in downtown Red Deer as G & H Harley-Davidson.
It relocated to Gasoline Alley in 1999, and has since expanded into its current 41,500-square-foot premises.
will be interesting
Coming soon look out for opening mid July. This is going to be exiting, finally some real service is coming.
I stopped for a look on the weekend and took a coupla photos; the big banner proclaims they'll be open 'mid 2011'. They're located only 500m south of 'Heavy Duty' on the same service road. Thunderbirds are go!
Opening date that has been quoted on another forum is 16th June.
They've got a lot of work to do by then going by what I saw last weekend when I drove past it!
