Want louder pipes. Is the best way to partially de-baffle the stock pipes? Want a reasonable sound with least mucking around. Bike in for a new belt and they said they can do the pipes at the same time. Can you de-baffle and not do the air fitler and download.

Older models (pre 95) you can take the mufflers off and knock out the welch plug in the centre of the muffler making it straight through.  You will need to rejet carby though.  Later ones I am not so sure.
