    Hi Fellas,

I'm in the middle of putting som 16" apes on the Street bob. (integrated risers).

The bars are 1" and when i sit them in the risers, they cleared the fork tubes by about 1/2 a mm. When i tightend the risers, the bars then just touch the top of the fork tubes.

My questions is, will this be ok. I know i can drop the fork tubes to get that mm clearance, but do i need too.

Just want to know if i'll have any problems.

    Cheers

my guess is it will probably send a vibe up the bars that ya wont like. Bars naturally flex so give 'em the room.

Cheers spanners, i thought that might be the case.

Choppaweeza, the street bob has risers built into the triple tree, so i think my option will be to lower the fork tubes a mm or so.

Is lowering the fork tubes as simple as loosening the bolts on the triple trees and tapping down? How do you know if you've lowered each side exactly the same?

lower them in the trees a bit, they are generally up a few mill anyway so just drop them level with where the round section of the cap meets the hex of the cap
