Considering that you have bought all the extras from the dealer, at AU dealer prices and they would have charged you for fitting as well, it sounds about right to me.
When you deduct the cost of the leather jacket, helmet and gloves, these things are irrelevant to the purchase of the bike, you'd be looking at about 3k for all the extras on the bike and fitting.
Look on the net for prices, grab a calculator and see for yourself...
You didnt check prices before?
i did look on the net for the prices, however i wanted warranty (peace of mind) on my parts installed so we for the packaged deal. People in the past have asked what price was paid so i figured i would see if the deal i got was on parr?
Cheers,
If ya happy ITS A GOOD DEAL
Seems like you got Aus RRP plus labour.
Enjoy the bike!
Associated question for anyone else..... is it a bad thing to have tuning programs and breathers and the like from the get go?
Think Im a little too gentle on the bedding/ running in period, but I had never considered these engine performance options till after the first service. In effect I wouldnt be flogging it hard enough to need them yet anyways... just burn extra fuel.
Dealers obviously arent worried about it, but then I asked the dealer if I could have my filter changed out at 200 or 300k mark just to lose the metal scrapings and I was told "with the modern technology in these motors and filters, you dont need to". Felt patronising.... Am I being over cautious??

no i do the oil & filter in the 1st 100 klm's , always
Screw it, might just do it myself.
Changing the oil more often than the Dealer says is good thing. There not going to give a shit what happens to the bike after two years when the warranty runs out.
Oil change is cheaper than a engine change.
a bloke I work with just bought an Iron on Ebay with 600km on it and 18 months warranty left for $10,500 and fancy plates ION83
