just thought id put it out there for those waiting for there 48 or other sportster bikes, how long has your wait been mine is 3 months and stil no word when i will receive it apparantly harley davidson isn't suppling many bikes to australia so iv'e been told. you turn to vent

I went into a busy Melb City dealer in late Nov and it came in on the exact day in Jan. So soon that I had to delay picking it up!
I asked if they ever get late deliveries, so I could be prepared to have no wheels for a while.... They said the deliveries were always on time.
It was a very busy time of year (shipping through Christmas), and it was an iron as well - heard they fall into the waiting list category.
Not trying to rub it in, but where did you guys go?
Also my plan B was to go to Geelong and get one that was on the floor waiting. They had two irons on the floor while everyone in Melb was waiting.
A one hour drive seems much better than months to wait!
2 of 15..... That doesnt sound right.
They could only get Irons 2 or 3 at a time per dealer I was told last year, why would they fill orders for 15 48's from one dealer? And just after Aussie dealers used 48 48's with that promotion.... Unless you mean 2 of 15 for the country?? Argh to0 many num6er5.
