The wife and I are thinking of heading down the coast for a few days on the bike in a few weeks and would appreciate some recommendations on any motels etc that are biker friendly and especially ones that have the parking right outside the door with no more than 1 step up into the room, because I usally try to stay somewhere where I can push my bike into the room after dark (when the manager wont see it) for safety. Somewhere between Nowra and Huskisson preferably. Any advice greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Well I just got back from my run down the coast, and I found a great little biker friendly Motel in Culburra Beach, its called the "Culburra Beach Motel" (very imaginative name hey?!(LOL)) It is quite a small place, only 9 rooms and tucked away in amongst houses in suburbia, but really nice and friendly owners, a retired couple who run it all by themselves, the husband of which used to ride in his younger days. They were telling me that one of the HOG chapters stays there from time to time, and the husband loves looking at and talking bikes. Well worth a stay, and the best bit is, its only about 6-7mins walk to the Bowling Club which is also very friendly with good food and beer! and if you get hammered and cant walk home, they have a free shuttle bus on the hour every hour!!! What more can you ask for!
