That's right boys & girls, Saturday 19th March is the next round of the Harley drags at Willowbank.

All the minor details, ie; times, cost etc; are the same as last time.

Lets see if we can get some more of you slack arses out there for a whole heap of fun.

Hey Sonny I'm sorry to hear of your brothers passing. I'd love to help you out in the pits with your bike. Rick and I go on http://dragbike.com.au/forum/index.php. You'll need to do a bit yourself before you can turn up and run a meet like that.

Sorry Rick got a 7 day roster that week. Bummer I really enjoyed my ride down and back maybe next time.

I remember you telling me about that bike Sonny. Sounds like a handfull.
I can give you all the info you need regards licencing & got a couple of mates that are tech inspectors.
As for help in the pits you'll have to rely on fastapastor for that one, i'm allergic to 'bussa's.LOL

Now, who's coming to the Harley drags?
Kusso? you were keen last time as was Enforcer.
There has to be more that are keen for some good wholesome FUN.

$40 gets the rider plus one other person in, $20 for spectators. Gates open at 2.30pm, be there on time as it's a tight schedule to get 3 qualifiers in between 3.00pm & 4.00pm. Racing rounds are run during the normal Test & Tune so plenty of time to catch up & have a chat in the lanes in between rounds. With the Top Fuel Champs coming up next month there might even be some heavy duty race vehicles out for a bit of testing.

    AAAaaaaahhhhhhh, my eyes, my eyes.
Seriously though that's a tough looking bike.
What was you bro's name Sonny? I've got a heap of real good mates that live down south & race those regional tracks.
They more than likely knew him & raced with him.

Hey Sonny looks like its set up to run wheelie bars. Here's an Idea get yourself a full set of leathers and a good full face etc and take it out to a street meet or test and tune and just get a day license like last time. Work your way into it, if it runs to quick they'll ask you to get a tech inspection and a full license . It might be a good place to start.. if it where my bike I'd lengthen the swingarm and look at running at a pro street meet. they run on a 9.90 heads up shoot out. no wheelie bars , But that's me.

Sonny, I wouldn't let the 'Busas power scare you. Quite a few guys are running Turbo's on them with stock swingarm and no bars.
The biggest issue you might find is tuning the clutch.
Is the bike running a two step ignition ?
Your in for a steep learning curve, but also a lot of satisfaction hopefully.
I remember racing at the street track in Mildura many years ago !
    Cheers

Hey PappaS, do you know Phil and Sam Parker ?

Hey speedzter, yeah mate, know them real well. Top people.
We quite often crew for them when they are racing up here & have a great time drinking their beer.

I used to be in the Ballarat Drag Racing club with Phil years ago. Sam was playing with plastic bikes back then !
You'd probably know a few of the other locals around here as well.
I also crewed for a Pro bike for a few years doing the rounds.
I miss being part of the Racing scene ! Love the smell of Alcohol and burning rubber !

Man I'd love to go as well but I haven't built up enough brownie points because of the weekend after this one and last weekend...

    Plenty of pics this time.

    Yeah, shitty day alright.
The upside is we had time in the garage & with a couple of really out there experiments we FINALLY got the dragbike to do what we want it to.
Now all i have to do is find a new set of carbies before next weekend.

Are you coming out for a look Sonny? Should be a real good meeting & it'll give you a look at the competition in Mod Bike.

Cool Sonny, look forward to catching up.
With a bit of luck & a big stick you might just see us run our first 8.

Well the stick wasn't big enough.
We got it down the track for the first time since last August but it wasn't quick & it certainly wasn't pretty.
Ended up with borrowed carbies & borrowed battery just to get it going. Still aways to go before it's right but we'll get it there for the Winter Nationals.
