G'day gents,
Some time back pinhead was looking at going to 12" apes, I've decided to do the same thing. (2010 roadking)
Got the wild 1 chubby apes and was going to wait to get some 4" over brake & clutch cables but looking at the old post it may not be necessary - just need to extend the wiring. Some one mentioned that the ed of heavy duty magazine went to 12" apes without extended cables.
So the question is - has anyone done this using the standard cables? I've got a ride to Albany next swing home & don't want to start the job to find I need the extended cables.

put wild ones 505 on my 09 flht........... and replaced clutch cable only because it routes up thru the batwing
did not extend wiring or abs brake lines .............. no dramas at all
could have used standard clutch cable without batwing fairing
not sure if my 505s are the same as your bars just check the web site........wished i had gone an inch higher
be aware that the throttle by wire kit may be required as the joining clip often breaks unless ya real careful
i got mine apart ok so didnt have ta use the new twist grip throttle clip when i did the internal wiring bit , so if ya need one of these kits i have 1 brand new in box i would sell for 1/2 price + pstge
the kit has longer wiring
