    looking at lowering primary drive to make 6th gear more user friendly evo industries in the states doe,sa 30 tooth engine sprocket kit but want nearly as much for postage as the product any other suppliers or ideas ?

    thats the thinking in lowering the gearing bike spends most of its time chasing corners

    bigger rear pulley lowers gearing quicker take off. would like that change but if stock belt needed replacement would put 30 tooth front pulley on trans probably cheaper
    save getting another chrome cover smaller engine sprocket is easiest overall lowering route but not much avaliable for 06 up dynas or 07 softys saves recalibratig speedo as well

    Hi Hogbad

    I've got a new 2008 Dyna Screamin Eagle. I've just run it in and I was using 6th from about 80 klicks towards the end of the runin. Seamed  2B fine and had lots of power to accelerate away. The dealer told me not to put it into 6th until 100 klicks and it was run in. Is there any reason for not engaging 6th until over 120 other than power and labouring the engine.
