hey Charls and everyone.. are there any further updates on Jess progress?
you wouldnt believe it that section of road they've "fixed" is already a new hazard! where the new asphalt meets the old, rising up again and disintergrating.. I'm going to contact Biggenden council about it tomorrow, because as per previously, no warning signs!
still thinking of Jess and wanting to follow her recovery, so thanks for all.
    Cheers, Tracy

Hey Tracy, might be worth taking some close in photos of the hazard - maybe put a mobile phone or a shoe in the picture for scale - and include pics in a letter (written or e-mail) to Council. Evidence and paper trails make things happen.

    Hey Tracy,
i friend that was on the ride goes through there once a week, she sent us an enail last night saying how you wouldn't believe that the exact same pothole has reappeared.
    just disgraceful isnt it,
As for Jess, yes there has been some more news,
she is kind of responding but not how the doctors want her too, and on the weekend she spoke.
i havnt spoke to anyone since the weekend so i am not sure if anything else has happened since then
ohh and the other day she lifted her head off the pillow. :-)
She seems to be moving forward rather fast, but as her mum says for every 2 steps forward, there seems to be 1 step back

    hey everyone,
Mick and i and a couple of friends visited Jess on the weekend,
She is doing so well, she is now moving her left leg too! on Thursday she sat up and with the help of 4 staff they had her standing for 30 secs. I believe they had her standing for longer on friday too but i am not sure how long. They are currently trying to teach/ entice Jess to try to swallow (as in when enticed by food). She has an assessment on monday to see if she is elegible to get into a rehab centre (which will still be a while away)
so all in all everything is going well.
    regards
    Charls

this is a snip of Jess' mums FB page. 'Jess is now starting to communicate, she can squeeze hands and answer things with blinking Yesterday at the gym after she stood up she gave the physio a high five! She also gives great hugs'
every day Jess suprises us all, on the weekend she still couldnt communicate, now she is. Jess seems to be progressing so fast.

Thanks RT for your advice and inspiration, its greatly received,
i can't wait to be able to show Jess this page and let her know how many people are thinking of her, next Wednesday will be 2 months!!!
    regards

    Hi Tracy,
Jess is now at prince alexandra hospital in the rehab centre.
She is walking (with assistance) she can speak. however she does not have any short term memory. they are just praying it will come back to her. Jess still has a looooong way to go, but we all know she is capable of doing it :-)
Jess is currenlty attending work classes, which reteaches her home chores such as cooking and things like that to hopefully one day make her self sufficient.
She is an inspiration to all of us, considering they didn't think she was going to make it to the hospital. she has not only survived but is now walking, talking, joking around and showing her personality.
    regards charls

hey Charls Thanks so much for passing on the awesum news! Considering how far Jess has come in such a short amount of time, with the horrific injuries she had, I'm sure she will come a lot lot further, especially considering how young she is! Just marvellous progress, I am so so happy to hear about.. keep on keeping us in touch.
    Cheers, Tracy

    hey guys,
Jess has just moved this week from rehab in brisbane to rehab in Bundy. Jess has come a long way and we are all so very proud of her. Her mum has not left her side since the 13th of Feb. Both are amazing.
Jess still has a very long way to go yet and i am not sure how long she is going to be n bundy rehab, but hopefully one day she might be able to come riding with us again.. even if its as a pillion.
