I only use cometic now, few years back i seen a guy have a problem with a James head gasket was told they changed something with there head gaskets. the guy was doing a long run & the new James head gasket failed.

another reason why i like Cometic three peice is it is possible to reuse them.

but the rest of the jame gaskets are fine its just i would not use there head gasket personally.

the three peice Cometic i have is part copper thats why they say can reuse.

hi,  i think james use's the MLS steel head gasket's cometic style now , these head gaskets have been improved  upon since the 90's  ,                  can have cooper head gasket's made here  what ever thickness you need @ associate gaskets man co  marigold st revesby, A machined fire ring  grove or o'ringed is best used,                                                                                                                                                                                         would not re-used any cooper head gasket with-out 1st anealing( i think i spelt that wrong ),   cooper goe's hard when worked over ,                              in proddie 883 roaring sportie's we use too re-use the stock shit fibre head gasket's so we could have more squish  with-out cheating, the gasket's would squash out thiner with more use up to 7 times, ,  for the gagket's to last do not rev hard when cold ?
