Someone with a bit more knowledge may be able to help me.
I have installed the TTS system on my PC at home, updated witht the latest maps etc. No problems. Installed it on a laptop. Borrowed for tuning purposes, the laptop is from work (Defence), The problem I have is that I can install the software but get and error "Proxy Authentication Required" when trying to update. Laptop does not allow streaming direct to the TTS website.
My intention was to use the laptop for data collection, then transfer the file to the PC via usb stick and make any adjustments that way.
Am I able to independently download the updates and install them onto the laptopn via usb?
The Map files from the updated version I can install into the TTS folder in my documents but the software version is unable to read the files due to them being from a later version of the software.
Does anyone know if/where I can download the updated software from, save the files and install via usb stick onto the laptop..
I don't really want to purchase a laptop just for tuning purposes but will if i have to in the end.
regards
AJ
AJ,
The message you are getting is because the browser is trying to connect through a proxy server. I assume you are using Internet explorer, you can bypass the proxy by doing the following:
1) In Internet Explorer go to: Tools\Internet Options\Connections Tab
2) Click on Settings for the connection that is configured
3) Un-tick where is says "Use a proxy server..."
Then all you have to do is make sure the laptop is connected to the Internet and you should be ok.
