Yeah another question or 2 about you know what.

I currently have Supertrapp slipons on my 09 NRS and want to change into a 2 into 1 system. I like the look of the V&H Competitions and was wondering if any other Vrod owners have these systems and have has  any serious issues with them. You know fit, loudness , durability of coating, and the list goes on. I have heard plenty of diffenert stories as  we probalbly all have, from overseas sites, but would like  an  Aussie opinion.

    No offence to anyone.

    Cheers

iv heard the D and D fatcat 2 into 1 are good pipe but i dont like the look of them and the supertrapp 2 into one also makes good power and you can change the plates in them if you want more or less noise

    Thanks for the replys folks.

Sonny I have heard that the CFR pipes are actually louder than the V&H but have not heard them in person myself , if you have or anybody else has what do ya reckon. I have heard both on youboob but its hard to compare  from a video. I don't mind a bit of noise but on the other hand  don't want it sounding like a top fueler ( well not for the road anyway Did you buy yours here or from overseas.?

I like the shorter systems as I reckon they look the goods but could settle for the Supertrapps.

The other ppes mentioned just don't do it for me

I have read the new V&H have better ground clearance and don't touch the oil line, but he coating is shite,  just wish somebody had them on their bike and  could give me the run down

Do any of you get harrased by the heat because of the noise ( and I'm not talking about heat from the exhaust)

    Cheers

my samson ripsaws are the loudest pipes iv ever heard on a vrod (nobody will ride behind me for a good 50 metres or so and they still hurt your eardrums when opened up<img src=" align="absMiddle" src="/DesktopModules/NTForums/themes/_default/emoticons/smile.gif" /> )and i havnt once been pulled up for them, but the cops up here dont really care to much, im puting a cfr exhaust on mine, much quieter compared and i see they make a baffle for them also

Thanks for the info fella's, and for the offer to see your bike Sonny.  The only problem is that i'm about 600 km away.

Good to hear about the performance.

    GO THE VRODS.

    Cheers

I've had the V&H 2 into 1 now for 2 years. They are very loud and like previously said, some riders following often complain.........just jealous I think!!   Problems I have found with the pipes are, very low and scrape consistenly, I have turned them up slightly and that helps, also added Arnotts air rides. On corners, lift the arse up.  The pipes don't have enough protection for, burns - melting dririder trousers etc........ and also my heel tends to touch pipe. Easy fix was wrapping them with tape. One last thing is that the ceramic coating is poor, I actually sanded mine back in the end and heat painted them, looks okay!  My final conclusion is, buy a set they are great!!!!!!!!

Agree with NSR09, lots of scrapes, burnt pants and melted heals but well worth it due to sound and performance gains.

Ive got a cfr pipe too. Awesome pipe but real loud. I actually got the baffle for it after about a month because I didnt like having to ride with ear plugs. Its still loud and deep but it doesnt hurt your ears when you rev over 3k rpm anymore. As for power with the baffle, it made a bit better bottom end with the baffle and the top end remained the same. If i can find my dyno map Ill throw it up here. I made 123hp with topless filter and pcv.

Mine (07) has Bub7 2-1s. Loud but not overly so, and you need to play around with the brackets to make them fit (apparently, they were on when I bought it). No scraping issues yet (only done about 1500km so far)

I have BUB Jug Huggers.  They look good and gives the Rod a sosund that gets away from the 2 into 1 blurb.  They're loud when you give it stick but the note is truely different and great.  They definitely turn heads and the cost is not over the top.

Email V MOD exhaust.......He will sell you the same pipes as you have now, with the baffles played around it........I just bought a set off him. There quiet at idle, suits me, i got to work 1.00am.........But when i open the bike up, i get a nice rumble sound

    Cheers
