"" Cops on the nose ""

Just got word from good source.
QLD Cops have expanded unmarked bikes to 12, all look like normal street machines.

Major crackdown in Tamborine, Beaudesert, Sunshine Coast, Esk, Mt Glorious, Mee, Nebo areas scheduled for March.

ALL bikes to be pulled over & compliance/rego/licence checked.

Cops monitoring webs, forums & infiltrating Riding Clubs etc to obtain Ride Calendars to coordinate efforts 3+ faults/strikes = bike impounded under Hooning laws.

including loud pipes, adr helmets and anti biker laws..

my boss at work his son is highway patrol and came in today with a nice shinny R1 with hidden blue and red lights.. wish i got a pic but no camera. not even in phone.... ""

must be bad if one must hide to catch offenders

I am of the belief that out in plain sight will slow traffic and stop offenders before they offend

don't raise much money but is safer option

Yep thats it - they don't raise enough money doing it the straight forward way - what are they going to be up to in Ten years? we will have to laugh when we cruise by at 99klms per hour, all registered, and just doing the right thing!!

Welcome to the real world. Unmarked bikes have been increased over the last couple years here in Vic. (Including one GS1200 that used to / still does, haunt the Black Spur & environs). During summer periods they are often to be found around the big lap of Healseville, Black Spur, Marysville, Reefton & Warburton. Happy days. Of course, since we don't do anything untoward, we don't have to worry about such sneaky tactics, do we? :)

Passed one of the new (covert) speed camera vehicles on the week end, a VW maroon Caddy Van. No signs out front just a big lense in the back window.

Wish they would spend some real $$ catching rock spiders - scammers etc - they could if they wanted to - they just want our easy money for doing a few klms over the speed limit - Dog Lickers!!!
