Louder Pipes

    Hello. New here. This one may be an old topic but.. Want to de-baffle my standard 09 heritage softail pipes to get louder sound.

    Is this the best way or should I buy Screamin Eagle slip ons. Either way do I need the high flow air intake and a download? Trying to do it as cheap as possible. Do the de-baffle and after market slip ons give the dsame result?

    Hi Markle,

    As above... keep your original pipes in case you have to do noise check someday... you will not regret that decision...

    As far as the pipes are concerned, I use the S&S turbo tapers,... look almost like the original (despite the S&S logo imprint), loud enough for my pupose... I have been pulled over numerous times and the cops have all mentioned " nice bike... sounds great"   so if you "coast" their sound is not "offensive", but when you get on it hard, the sure do give a "loud  bark"

    As far the other brands, can't help you....
